When I received the dough hook, I was greatly surprised at its size and its sturdiness. It is extremely durable and can be used for mixing all types of food, not just dough. The whisker/wire part has enough spacing so the mix can easily go through the wire. The handle is very strong and it would take a lot to break it. The hook is extremely easy to clean as the hook has wide openings. Even the kids find it easy to use. My kids like to make home made pizza so this was the perfect tool to mix the dough. I also found it useful to mix cakes, muffins and waffle mix. This tool will definitely last for a long time.
